“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly” (Saint-Exupery)
I believe that Photography, in addition to being built with the look, implies an emotional connection, with the human being, the beauty of a landscape or even with the simplest things.
Living in Buenos Aires and later in Mexico City, much of my photography takes place in the streets, where the unexpected, the unpredictable, arises. We live in a time when the world is immersed in a hurry, stress, and we don´t stop to gaze, especially the people that surround us.
Looking through the camera for me is a way to slow down and be present to what's going on out there.
A significant part of my photos are about people, seeking to capture their essence and reveal their life stories in a powerful and beautiful way. The looks, hands, expressions, say a lot, reflect the depths of being; resistance, hope, wisdom, beliefs.
I print my work on paper, so that photographed moment becomes real, and is not only visible in the digital world.
The cycle is complete when I manage to reach people again to give them a printed copy. That photo will be our means to stay connected.
